I am prepared to accept commissions immediately for cat and dog portraits. I will do these in watercolor from photographs the owner of the animal emails me. Jpgs will do just fine. A close up of the face is the most interesting to paint. As you can see from looking at Sweetpea’s photograph and then the portrait, the likeness is really astounding, but the softness and depth of watercolor makes one just want to reach out and stroke that soft fur.
A portrait that is framed 12” X 16” is $150.00 plus tax, shipping and handling. Of course, I will send you the portrait unframed in a mat with foam core ready to frame for $ 120.00 plus tax, shipping and handling.
A 16” X 20” portrait that is framed is $250 plus tax, shipping and handling. Unframed, matted with foamcore is $220 plus tax, shipping and handling.
A 22” X 28” portrait that is framed is $400 plus tax, shipping and handling. Unframed, matted with foamcore is $370.
The client should realize that shipping a finished piece framed with glass on UPS is pricey because of the amount of packing that occurs to protect the glass.
Other options can be agreed upon case by case.
